Here, we’ll be talking about baseball—and maybe other sports in the future—through a more analytical lens than you’ll typically find in mainstream sports media. We’ll mostly be looking at player performance and applying my research project to find “perfect fits”.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and naturally became a fan of both the Giants and the A’s. I played competitively starting in elementary school through Little League and continued until high school.
This project began after I took a class that gave me the opportunity to apply data analytics to a topic I’m passionate about. Through that experience, I was able to see the game from a new perspective. Even though I no longer play competitively, this project has given me another way to stay connected to the sport.
